DESIGN NAME: Fettucine
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Chair
INSPIRATION: I wanted to create a chair that let light shine through it, was light in weight and was based on repetitive off set of a single form.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Fettucine is a chair that is designed to bridge sculpture, art, and functional seating. The wood material offers approachable warmth to an otherwise contemporary design. The spacing and proportion of the wood creates a channeled affect and gives the heavy wood chair a light open feel. The high back gives height to a space and the form is designed to sit well as either a dining room or occasional chair.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Dining room or occasional chair. The high back allows the chair to be used to divide a space.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design was created in 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design
