| DESIGN NAME: Kidobani PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional service set INSPIRATION: We wanted to create a design: that could become not only a center of attraction and conversation piece but as well catches people's mind; that would aroused various sensations associated with different styles or time period; that would be beyond national identity, beyond time. like Kidobani items, that were born in the past and are projected into future, leaving the present aside as the present, in reality, is the fleeting instant between the past and the future. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Whether in action or no, this tabletop give you the extraordinary service opportunity. Design construction based upon simple logic of organizing a service aria makes it possible to generate infinite varieties of solutions and create newer and newer sensations.Kidobani allow you to determine how you wish to arrange your service set, in accordance with users personal wishes and nature of the event to be held. Is up to user choose what item takes part in the theatre-tipe service performance OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The set is fully equipped tabletop service features,mainand sun desks,tiered trays and 14 items.Shape of main desk's guides provides free sliding and in same time firmly install and stability of the items.Trays can be used as the basis for other objects of Kidobani chain,both in duet or separately.main deck tray accept up to 6 items,sun deck up to-3.That we can complete the trays with 9 items according desires and drinks served,getting any time a new set,both in aesthetic and functional terms PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2004 Catanzaro and finished in 2011 in Nossiri. We had no restrictions on time, nor on style. We worked on these objects in our spare time between orders, and had the luxury of thinking about them when we wanted, how much we wanted and how we wanted. This is one of the causes of such a long-term duration of the project . |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The items of Kidobani chain are made of precious wood, and assembled manually. In order to optimize visual harmony, make up details are selected, grouped and build according to the natural drawing. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Main desk tray - Width 450 mm x Depth 220 mm x Height 110 mm. Sun desk tray -Width 450 mm x Depth 140 mm x Height 14 mm TAGS: trys, two level trys, service set, Noah's ark, sun deck, main desk, caviar set, brandy heater, tea pot heater, wine baskets, ice baskets RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Main and sun desk trays were first-borns of Kidobani chain. But they was initially supposed as a set of 6 multifunctional boxes, intended for nuts, fruits, sweets. Just these boxes have formed the shape of the guides. Subsequently the guides itself have determined the shape of the legs of the links of Kidobani chain: coasters, boxes, sugar set, coffee and tea cups saucer, caviar set, planter, ashtray, cigar holder, brandy and tea pot heaters, wine and ice baskets. CHALLENGE: It is obvious that one of the key challenge of any project is to create a design that would be not only visually, functionally or intellectually - deeply saturated, but also to be able to arouse various sensations associated even with the field of universal problems.The set is fully equipped tabletop service features tiered trays and 14 items, providing overall high level service abilities, in some way it looks like to Noah's ark - "noes kidobani" in Georgian.
