PRIMARY FUNCTION: Swageless Cable Tensioner
INSPIRATION: It took me a lot of time to swage the cable to make the terminal in the past. I had to measure the length of the cable precisely and then cut the cable correctly. There’s a way to solve this problem-the swageless terminal. It is capable of attaching to the cable directly. However, it still takes time to measure the length of the cable. As a result, I figured out an easy and efficient way to fix the cable correctly. Swageless Cable Tensioner appeared. The primary function of the swageless cable tensioner of the horizontal lifeline system is to adjust the flexibility of the cable tension.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The cable can be cut after it is fixed into the cable tensioner. Furthermore, the flexibility of the cable tension can be adjusted casually by the cable tensioner after a long period of time.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1. Insert the cable through the cable tensioner.
2. Adjust the flexibility of the cable tension and then it’s fixed.
3. The flexibility of the cable tension will vary by time. The cable tensioner can adjust the flexibility of the cable tension at any time.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was designed in 2015 in Taiwan. It is patented by Taiwan, China and Germany. It was also presented in A+A exhibition in Germany.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 1. Switch the enclosed terminal into the terminal which the cable can be inserted through.
2. Make a rectangular hollow part that the cable can pass through crookedly.
