PRIMARY FUNCTION: Center Table
INSPIRATION: Folds in the paper build the lightness of a Tsuru Origami. That was the initial idea for the design of Nox center table. The relation between the malleability of the material and the idealization of a soft and at the same time striking shape oriented studies for the creation of this piece of stylish and contemporary features.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With dynamic volume and representing lightness in its features, the center table Nox has innovative and striking design. Its idealization involves the allegory of an Origami bird (Tsuru) in its most attractable features of balance and smoothness, transmitted to folds and welds in a stainless steel plate.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: -
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: It´s first design was conceived in September 2013, with denser forms. From this idea, several studies had been conducted, and in June 2014 was reached to its current stroke, representing lightness and dynamism through hollow forms. The entire creative process occurred in the city of Teresina, Piauí, Brazil.
The prototype was made in October 2014, by the company Defer Metal Industry, located in Garibaldi city, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The center table Nox runs in brushed stainless steel plate, 3mm thick. This material was chosen because of its lightness and strength. The metal sheet is cutting and has cold bending in specific industrial machinery. The assembly of this product, made in local manufacturing, strictly obeys the angulation of the Project and welds for tying the pieces are necessary.
