| DESIGN NAME: Ritim PRIMARY FUNCTION: Entry Bench INSPIRATION: The Form of Ritim is inspired by the positive and active energy of the percussion rhythm. The aim was to incorporate this energy into daily life in an unexpected way. On the other hand, I always had difficulties arranging my belongings necessary for outdoor. If it's easy to settle them in a way which does not cause any mess, and if it is also easy to reach them when necessary, it makes me fell comfortable. So, the cheerful mood that occurs when hearing a rhythm and the desire to put some comport in life were together inspiration of Ritim. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The intention of the design is enable the user to feel special, and provide easy and joyful solutions. This functional decorative arts object incorporates an ottoman, an umbrella stand, a coat rack, a place for keys,wallets etc. in one furniture. "Ritim" provides an easy way to order belongings for outdoor. In addition to it's function, this entry bench provides a warm and energetic welcome through its unique form, which makes you happy and triggers you to be active. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Users will fell pleasant emotions, since the bench's form provokes pleasant emotions and it organize everything in one place. Users do not need any effort to use the bench, on the contrary this piece of furniture decreases the effort to organize the belongings. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This original entry bench shall be produced by using Wood and polyurethane. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 1600mm x Depth 400mm x Height 450mm- Height of coat rack 1550mm TAGS: bench, entry bench, modern, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Since the project is on the concept phase, only some research on drums and clay drums has been carried out. CHALLENGE: The most challenging part of the project was to understand the shape of clay drum. Therefore some research on the shape of it carried out , and I also tried to understand the production process of real clay drums.
