| DESIGN NAME: Paradox PRIMARY FUNCTION: Diamond ring INSPIRATION: A paradox, poverty and wealth, power and slavery, hunger and sickness, in diamond continent (Africa) and a question: what have we done for African people who we exploit wealth from? All of this led to the inception of primary idea of this plan. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: I am a woman and I was born for love. And how painful it is when I see a place in the world where its land is wealthier than its people, and there are women and children living with the hope of having a piece of bread to spend night until the morning . Hence I designed the Paradox in the hope of decorating fingers of the ones who aim to help the famished people. I wish the money obtained by selling the ring would be spend for a piece of bread that sates someone's hunger . And that is the reason which distinguishes the design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It’s not only a ring it’s a new way to remove hungry. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Tehran between May of 2014 to September of 2014. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This model designed with computer aided design technology(CAD) software such as matrix7/VRay. The material is 18k yellow gold and diamond. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width23.51mmxDepth23 TAGS: Ring, gold, diamond, jewelry design, remove hungry and Africa. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: Showing hunger and poverty in the design, was my first challenge. Also creating an anatomy form of famished African women was my other challenge. NAME: Marzieh PROFILE: I finished my studies in agricultural engineering. Unfortunately this couldn't fulfill my creativity passion. I was looking for a way to be able to express my inner feelings. Then i got to know about jewelry design. It didn't take long to understand that jewelry design is absolutely a perfect way to enter a new world where I can transfer my feelings into objects ( jewelry) in real world. |
