| DESIGN NAME: Echo PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lighting Fixture INSPIRATION: Since I have been a kid I have been drawn by the sea, submarine, fish and space. In naming the fixtures I have designed, I have named them after the stars and underwater creatures. Like the bio-luminescence fish enlighten the routes of the submarines have inspired me in making this design. I have named it 'Echo' liked the underwater lights echoing on to sea vessels. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The unique feature of this fixture is that it is with polycarbonate cover fixed onto the surface through a seal. Thus, very tight water impermeability can be achieved. So far it is the minimum size linear surface mounted fixture with working input 220V. Since the Power LEDs have longer life with cooler operation the aluminum body helps the Power LEDs to cool off. Surface mounted unit is capable of providing 1680 Lm at 25cm through 12 Power LEDs. When the length of the profile and the polycarbonate are extended to 50cm through 24 Power LEDs, with 8-10 degrees narrow angle lenses used 3360 Lm is obtained at up to 20 meters of height. Considering this unit is only portable this power of light is very high. With the polycarbonate fixture used for mounting the unit to the wall. It is possible to light downwards at 12 degrees and 18 degrees upwards. The material of the seals are chosen specifically to with stand 120 santigrate for short periods and 80 santigrate continuous it is also UV resistant.
