| DESIGN NAME: seating for stations 2 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Seating For Stations INSPIRATION: The inspiration to create this project came during the waiting on the station. Sits can be other, with the form taken from nature and movement. It gives the possibility to use less materials and more colors. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Very important part of design is ease of assembly and cheapness of transportation. Metal construction with rectangular cross-section connects seat and back. Angle plate provide rigidity of angle coupling. Less usage of materials and form of the seating for station are components of eco-design OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The visitors of the station can pass their time in comfortable circumstances, feeling pleasant emotions. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Autumn 2013, in Kyiv. And it was finished in 2014 in Odessa. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Traditional materials from wood, plywood, metal, MDF, plastic. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: length 620mm width 600mm height 925mm TAGS: Seating for station, eco-design, ease of assembly, cheapness of transportation RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research consisted of connection of few details to one construction. Form of legs make a furniture with illusion of movement. CHALLENGE: The main difficulty was to connect the soft sits and footings with the help of steel construction. And the main challenge was to find the best variant of design and functionality of manufacturing and installation. NAME: Xo-Xo-L design PROFILE: The Idea of the Brand "Xo-Xo-L design" was created as a desire to bring more positive emotions to life. The idea, from the bigenning, was not to follow any definite style, but to create good emotions using unexpected ideas and unexpected combinations of materials. The main feature is that our designs shall be functional, unfamiliar and at the same time simple and cheap in production.
