| DESIGN NAME: The Sultan's Pomergrante PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: The inspiration for this ring came from a juicy, ripe pomegranate. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This unique ring from Leon Megé was inspired by the ancient fruit Egyptians regarded as the ultimate symbol for prosperity and ambition. “Sultan’s Pomegranate” is distinctive in its design, technology, and in the types of gemstones that were used to create this statement piece. A combination of thirty-two cabochon amethysts and rubellite tourmalines surround a 12.77 carat intensely crimson gem grade Rhodonite center stone. Along the platinum, cathedral shank are twenty diamonds set in cutdown pavé. The natural color stones were all custom cut for this very special ring. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The ring was hand made with platinum, a rhodonite cabochon, 20 round brilliant diamonds, 16 cabochonne amethysts, and 16 rubelite tourmalines.
