| DESIGN NAME: desk humorist PRIMARY FUNCTION: Home and Office Furniture INSPIRATION: Design of the table is crab-like. Table legs resemble crab legs. Top and bottom of table connects with boxes that are like crab eyes. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Table is made for using in office and home. This is made for four person. Legs made of molded plywood or plastic. Less usage of materials and form of the table are components of eco-design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This office table can be used both in offices and homes, can be easily transformed to be de-installed and transported. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2011 in Odessa, and during 3 years i added different details to the project, and finally finished it in 2013. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Traditional materials from wood, plywood, metal, MDF, plastic, glass SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: length 1100mm width 850mm height 750mm TAGS: Crab-table, eco-design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Researching of crabs helped to transfer different parts of its body to separate parts of table and to made the whole construction that resemble abstract crab. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to make a fix element with the function of a box, connecting the table top and the base. NAME: Xo-Xo-L design PROFILE: The Idea of the Brand "Xo-Xo-L design" was created as a desire to bring more positive emotions to life. The idea, from the bigenning, was not to follow any definite style, but to create good emotions using unexpected ideas and unexpected combinations of materials. The main feature is that our designs shall be functional, unfamiliar and at the same time simple and cheap in production. The idea does not only distributed to the furniture, but to the architecture, light and habitat too. |
