All four legs are tide together by metal tubes that provides the lateral stability. The original upholstery was form for two independent pieces, one the back cushion and the other the sit cushion. RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The best antique is that piece of furniture that is as visually attractive as well as functional. The best way to produce a future antique is to adapt to the present the beauty of the past. Fabrizio and Greg analyzed shapes on furniture from the past looking for those that would bring nostalgia and tranquility feelings and combined with the present urban style of life. The outcome is a chair that merges soft curves on a very traditional material that is wood, with straight lines on a more contemporary material as steel, aluminum, or titanium and these two blended together by a upholstery done in leather with very sharp lines. Every single line and angle in the chair was thought-out to look good from any position that the viewer wants to perceive ithe KSD-2. Also every single line and angle serves its purpose well such as the seating angle, the arm rest position, and the change on mass on the legs.
