DESIGN NAME:
Angled Seater

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Chair

INSPIRATION:
NATURE and the coziness it provides. Just like the way nature defines its beauty and becomes what it wants to be and no two things are ever same in nature, same way this product cannot be reproduced exactly like its very first design. This design is inspired by the smooth organic flow of nature and hence i wanted it to be Continuation of nature from outside to inside juxtaposing the raw beauty of it with the contemporary setting to give a freshness and edgy look.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Angled seater is more of an art piece or a sculpture that seems like nature has taken its own shape and derived to be this. It screams out loud and says this is what i am and this is what i want to be. The entire piece looks like one single identity shedding off its excess as it grew older and finally taking the shape of the chair. I wanted to provide a very cozy feeling to the chair just as my inspiration nature and so i made the backrest slightly higher and curved at one of its end acting like a protector giving a very warm feeling. Angled seater is a chair made of Burma teak and accentuated with twisted indonesian root doubling up as extra support. The strength of this product lies in the fact that it is eco-friendly and also can withstand any weather conditions, making it apt for indoor as well as outdoor furniture. It is a minimalist design keeping the contemporary theme in mind and consists of clean clear lines. The uniqueness also lies in the fact that teak as it grows older becomes darker naturally and the beautiful natural grains get more deeper. Using teak is like investing in gold. Its never old fashioned, doesn't wear off in time and can always be reused making it an investment which works best in terms of being green. One of the most unique property is that it is a reforest teak which is exported from burma and thus helps in reforestation and not deforestation.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Reforest teak used which are manufactured and exported from burma. This material is the green material keeping eco-friendliness and mother earth in mind. Teak is one the hardwoods that is the strongest, hardest and resistant to all weather conditions making it very easy to maintain in the long run. The other material used is to enhance its beauty and double up as an extra support is also a twisted root from indonesia. Angled Seater is completely made by skilled carpentars with hand tools. No machines whatsoever is used aside for the cutting it to the size required. The rest is done with hand saw and other hand tools to scrape out the excess and give it the desired shape. A groove is cut out in the backrest where the seat is inserted and fixed with the screw for stronger support, also the leg are screwed to the seat.
