| DESIGN NAME: Dahom CFL Globe PRIMARY FUNCTION: Energy Saving Lamp INSPIRATION: To create an energy saving lamp that can replace the traditional incandescent light bulb, saving up to 65% of the energy used. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Dahom CFL Globe when used in the home behaves and looks exactly like the traditional Thomas Edison incandescent bulb but without the heat generated and the energy used. In fact, it saves at least 65% of the energy used. Generally a 11W Dahom CFL can replace a 60W incandescent bulb!! And in order to achieve the frosted look and feel, instead of using acid to frost the glass, Dahom cleverly uses a patented silicon sleeve. This not only delivers the frosted look, it also makes the light output more even and environmentally friendly. The silicon sleeve has an added function to ensuring safety.
