PRIMARY FUNCTION: Immersive Educational Assistance System
INSPIRATION: The education sector represents a lucrative business opportunity as parents are eager to invest in their children's education. Traditional methods struggle with knowledge retention, lacking interactive and immersive learning experiences. This results in difficulties in remembering and applying learned concepts. Moreover, there's a significant gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world skills required for future careers. Students require effective opportunities to bridge this gap.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Knovo is an AR+VR educational assistance system designed for students in the Metaverse. It features an integrated reward system and aims to support school education. By utilizing artificial intelligence, Knovo offers personalized assignments aligned with students' school curriculum and individual career interests.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Knovo operates by providing personalized academic recommendations and assistance to students. Through an intuitive registration process, students input their educational background and career aspirations, allowing Knovo to tailor personalized learning paths for each user. Leveraging augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, Knovo brings lessons to life in three-dimensional environments, facilitating practical application of learned concepts. Continuous feedback and gamified elements further enhance student engagement and motivation, empowering students to achieve their academic and career goals effectively.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started from 2022 to 2023 in Los Angeles.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Knovo utilizes advanced AR and VR technologies alongside artificial intelligence algorithms to deliver personalized learning experiences for students. The prototype is made with Figma, C4D and after effect.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Compatible with various AR and VR devices and platforms, Knovo offers seamless educational experiences within the Metaverse.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Extensive research, including a quantitative online survey with over 100+ participants and interviews with 10+ students, highlighted dissatisfaction among students, with over 76% expressing discontent with the existing education system. Identified pain points include challenges in knowledge retention, lack of interactive learning experiences, and a notable gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application essential for future careers. Addressing these issues is crucial for fostering a more effective and engaging learning environment.
CHALLENGE: Innovation in the education sector faces an additional challenge due to the relatively new field of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). Compared to other industries, there are fewer precedents and resources available for leveraging these technologies effectively. The scarcity of applicable techniques and existing works poses a significant obstacle in integrating VR and AR into educational practices. Overcoming this hurdle requires not only creative solutions but also substantial investment in research and development to pioneer effective educational applications of VR and AR technologies.
