| DESIGN NAME: Ocean Symphony PRIMARY FUNCTION: Necklace INSPIRATION: The "Ocean Symphony" necklace is a harmonious fusion of nature's treasures and artistic craftsmanship. Inspired by the mesmerizing underwater world, I sought to capture the essence of tranquility, movement, and mystery. With reverence, I shaped rose gold wires into delicate marine motives. The symphony emerged, notes of gold and opal. Pearls of Time: Selecting boulder opal pearls was a meditation. Assembling the Overture: The opalized wood cradled the sculptures, and the pearls flowed like liquid music. The clasp, a final chord, embraced the wearer. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Opalized Wood Centerpiece: At its core lies a rare treasure - an opalized wood from Australia. Its surface mirrors the water's dance, capturing the play of light as one dives and resurfaces. This opalized canvas inspired my vision: an underwater landscape adorned upon its iridescent surface. The 750/000 rose gold sculptures emerge like whispers. The Wise Turtle: glides serenely - a guardian of hidden depths. The Shoal of Fish: Tiny forms, their tails intertwined, evoke the pulse of life beneath the waves. Seagrass Whispers: underwater grass echoing the gentle sway of the ocean. The necklace continues, cascading with boulder opal pearls. These gems shimmer like sun-kissed waves. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Crafting the Sonata Sketching the Depths: Weeks were spent sketching underwater life - the turtle's wisdom, the fish's ballet, and the sway of seagrass. Sculpting and Melody: With reverence, I shaped rose gold wires into delicate marine motives. The symphony emerged, notes of gold and opal. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Design Phase: I immersed myself in the underwater world, sketching the delicate forms of marine life. Sculpting and Lacing: With precision, I shaped the rose gold into filigran sculptures. Each curve, each detail, infused with reverence for the sea. Hand-selecting boulder opal pearls, I sought those with fascinating patterns - like miniature seascapes frozen in time. Assembling the Symphony: The opalized wood cradled the sculptures, and the pearls cascaded like liquid light. The clasp, a final note, ensured the necklace embraced its wearer securely. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Length: 45 cm (17.7 inches) Opalized Wood Centerpiece: Free-form cut, revealing the wood's ancient secrets Boulder Opal Pearls: Diameter ranging from 13 mm to 25 mm Clasp: A seamless rose gold sphere, securing the symphony around the neck TAGS: Ocean Symphony, opalized wood, black opal, gold, goldsmith, handmade, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To do research for "Ocean Symphony" was fun: I love to dive and I love to make jewellery. What ever I learnt, I shaped in that necklace. CHALLENGE: "Ocean Symphony" invites wearers to dive into their own depths. It whispers of forgotten forests, of creatures unseen, and of the eternal dance between water and light. May it adorn the neck of someone who dreams of the sea's secrets.
