| DESIGN NAME: Dream PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewelry Design INSPIRATION: Taking Zhuangzhou Mengbutterfly as inspiration, using butterfly as the main expression element and silver as the medium, it shows the helplessness of people who are difficult to distinguish between reality and illusion. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The " Zhuangzhou Mengbutterfly " arouses people's thoughts about the real and the unreal, life and death, things and I. The design of this series of products presents the image of a butterfly that looks like a butterfly but is not. The product modeling presents the image of a butterfly that looks like a butterfly but not a butterfly, from a distance, but not up close, so that the texture and the lines of the subtle intertwining of the three-dimensional and balanced sense of beauty. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Dream collection is designed to express a unique interpretation of human life and death, the real and the unreal. Silver is used as the main material to express the purity of the butterfly's dream, while giving the butterfly delicate forms and rich details to show the beauty and fragility of life. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This product was designed in August 2022. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In terms of craftsmanship, the Dream series is made using traditional Chinese wax carving, a purely handmade method to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are more artistically infectious and soulful, and oxidizing the surface of the pieces to produce a color that is different from that of the usual white silver, which makes the pieces come to life. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dream-I: 14*6cm, Dream-II: 7.5*3cm TAGS: Art, Jewelry, Silver, Sterling RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The Dream series is inspired by the ancient Chinese story of Zhuangzhou Mengbutterfly, which argues that it is impossible to distinguish between the real and the unreal, and that there is already a problem when a person believes that there is a difference between the real and the unreal. CHALLENGE: Dream series is not only jewelry but also a work of art, it was born in the hope that the audience will see this series of artwork to produce a short period of time in the brain to think, so that each viewer in the process of thinking about the resonance and their own ideas and practice and life, thinking about more people can better promote and people's understanding of the arts and cognitive level of enhancement, thus improving the society for the arts of a higher level of inclusiveness.
