| DESIGN NAME: Interpenetration PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sit INSPIRATION: The design inspiration comes from the mortise and tenon structure of China and the interweaving structure of ancient wooden beams. Through its structural characteristics, this bench can have a unique charm without the need for any nails or hardware tools. The unique feature of this bench is that it can be installed by hand. It will make people more comfortable in terms of human-machine and product scale. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A bench with Eastern characteristics. From tradition to modernity, deconstructing and hoping to create a furniture product that integrates into modern life from multiple dimensions. By interweaving, there is no need for adhesive or nails. The installation can be completed. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The user can use it after assembly, and the function is mainly to sit and rest. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This bench is made of black walnut and birch wood by CNC cutting. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1400mm*320mm*450mm TAGS: Mortise tenon，Interpenetra RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This is a bench with strong Eastern characteristics, from traditional to modern, from complex to simple. Extract the traditional mortise and tenon structure and the interweaving structure of ancient wooden beams. The creative concept of this stool was born, pursuing a better user experience and design aesthetics in terms of design scale and proportion. CHALLENGE: In the research stage in the early stage of design, we encountered many difficulties. How to design a more ingenious structure and make the product more stable without screws. The form of modeling has also been revised and adjusted dozens of times.
