PRIMARY FUNCTION: Milk Tea Bottle
INSPIRATION: Xiangpiaopiao Dahongpao Fresh Milk Tea needs disruptive, unconventional new packaging to establish a unique position in the market. By merging traditional Eastern aesthetics with contemporary artistic values, using Chinese red, unique Chinese character typography, and the shape of the bottle, it displays a simple and direct modern expression, setting Xiangpiaopiao apart in the beverage industry.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tea culture is of long history in China, so a new package for a tea-making brand Xiangpiaopiao will be inspired from ancient tea legacy. The layout is designed in a modernised Chinese calligraphy style yet remains eye-catching in shelves. And to enlarge the difference with the competitive brands, the bottle is shaped with a whirl-like shoulder, which expresses a bit of milky-tea’s richness touch.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product needs to balance mass appeal with innovative proportions, using the visual appeal of milk and tea to cleverly create reinforced ribs in the bottle design, making it a unique container symbol for Xiangpiaopiao. The packaging combines the beauty of Chinese character vertical typography with contemporary flat graphic language, dominated by China's most important color red. This modern Chinese design expression forms a succinct and powerful cultural symbol that resonates with young consumers.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Started in May 2023 in Shenzhen and finished in October 2023, published in November 2023.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: · The reinforcing ribs on the bottles have been cleverly designed to resemble the vortex shape formed during tea extraction. While enhancing the structural integrity of the bottle, they also serve as a unique visual identifier.
· The combination of the vertical typography with contemporary flat graphic, a large Chinese red square, as the main product identification creates a modern Chinese design expression.
· The bottle Added a tear guide to the plastic seal at the cap, using the iconic red square of the packaging. It enforces the visual identifier and prevents the design on plastic seal being torn when opening the cap.
