| DESIGN NAME: Nexus Kernels PRIMARY FUNCTION: Modular Table INSPIRATION: The "Nexus Kernels" Table stems from a deep appreciation for the harmony and interconnectedness found in nature. Drawing upon the organic forms and dynamic energy present in natural ecosystems, the table seeks to embody these principles within its design. The idea of "Nexus" reflects the concept of a connection, while "kernels" symbolize the essence or core elements that give life and vitality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: "Nexus" is the external structure of the table, with an organic form that combines the essence of circle and triangle that is a sign of flexibility and interaction with sense of balance and stability. smooth and white Marble creates a contrast with the red kernel. A dynamic Kernel against the calm elegance of marble. The "kernel" inspires warmth and rebirth. With a simple twist, the core comes out of its embrace and beautifully transforms into a suitable base for a fragrance diffuser. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: "Nexus Kernels" Table is an integrated experience that invites users to explore its versatile features. With mechanisms and intuitive design, interaction with the table becomes effortless and enjoyable. From setting up the modular components to turning the core into a convenient base for the deodorizer, every operation is designed to enhance a new experience while using the table. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The "Nexus" external body material is: Marble Carrara. The "kernel": material is : steel aluminum material The flower fragrance diffuser Material is: Porcelain / The aromatic oil is absorbed by a separate wick inside the flower and the porcelain has porous surfaces designed to hold and release the fragrance slowly. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The size of the Table, 70*65*28 cm The reduce of central circle, 27 cm The height of the flower fragrance diffuser, 80 cm TAGS: Modular table, Functional, Nature-inspired, Sustainable Design, Harmony, Balanced Form RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design research conducted for the "Nexus Kernels" Table aimed to explore the intersection of nature-inspired design, modular functionality, and user experience. The goal was to create a furniture piece that seamlessly combines aesthetics and practicality, adapting to the evolving needs and desires of users. CHALLENGE: The most difficult part of this design was to create the right balance between aesthetics, functionality and use in different locations and feasibility. The creative challenge was to create a table that seamlessly integrates organic design elements, modular functionality and the concept of convertible Kernels.
