| DESIGN NAME: dryer fan PRIMARY FUNCTION: A Clothes Drying Fan INSPIRATION: Nowadays, many families or students live in small spaces, lacking balconies or sufficient sunlight, which is difficult to solve the problem of drying clothes. In addition, according to medical research, drying clothes directly inside the house will lead to a rapid rise in humidity, which will cause problems such as moldy environment and even respiratory diseases. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: DRYER FAN+ is a bladeless fan that combines the function of clothes drying, making modern people live in small spaces or dormitories to solve the problem of drying clothes. With the design of the internal structure, the wind direction can be changed according to different functions. It has a dual function, namely quickly drying your clothes, and at the same time providing a healthy and convenient design which doesn’t occupy much space. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: DRYER FAN+ can be used as an ordinary fan by placing it upright. While drying clothes, all you need to do is turn the top downward 90 degrees and fix it in a horizontal direction. Then you can start to dry the clothes. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design of bladeless fan makes air enter through the slits at the fan's base. A small brushless electric motor runs a tiny fan with asymmetrically aligned blades which pushes air through a set of stationary blades that smooth the airflow. Served as an ordinary fan, it can boost the levels of comfort and improve the distance of wind blowing. In addition, the internal air flow will change direction with the axis rotation, and finally blow out vertically from the air outlet. While used as clothes dryer, it can speed up the drying efficiency. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Generally, the elbow height of an adult is about 100cm, and the hanging height of this product is in line with human factors. Studies have shown that the accessible height of a wheelchair user's hand is 40~120cm, and the height of this product can also be adjusted according to the user's habits and the height of the wheelchair. Considering the shortcomings of existing home appliances and designs innovative functions based on a large number of user surveys and interviews. CHALLENGE: The only existing product in the market that can speed up the clothes drying is only the dryer. However, it consumes a lot of energy and is not suitable for all kinds of clothes materials. Some people may use the electric fans or air conditioners to speed up the drying process. Still, there are some problems existing, such as how to hang the clothes and place the clothes.
