| DESIGN NAME: Arges PRIMARY FUNCTION: VR Headset INSPIRATION: Arges is a virtual reality headset. Its name means "bright" and is inspired by one of the three one-eyed Hesiodic Cyclops in Greek mythology. Arges is the single eye symbol for entering the world of virtual reality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The headset is slightly smaller and therefore lighter than conventional models. Also, designing a new form for motion controls have made them lighter and more ergonomic. For improving the ventilation during using the device the quick-drying and breathable fabric materials are selected for the headset cushion and straps. All this makes the user do not get tired and do not feel the presence of the product during long use of the product. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Using this product is very simple. This product is automatically connected to its motion controllers, and this interaction between the components, along with the simple configuration paths embedded in the product, makes the experience of using this product comfortable and enjoyable for the user. Just push the power button on the headset and turn it on. The power button is on the left side. Also, there is a lens adjustment button below the headset. The headset also has a USB Type-C port, a small light, on the front, and adjustable straps. Each motion controller has three buttons to click to select, position and adjust the position. To connect to a computer or other digital device and transfer data, you can use the USB Type-C port on the left side of the product or connect to a Wi-Fi network. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In designing this product, an effort was made to avoid complexity in the product form to facilitate manufacturing and to reduce energy and material waste. Using the plastic material and heat plastic model injection method for the headset. Also, using the quick-drying and breathable fabric materials for the cushion and straps. CHALLENGE: One of the most important challenges of designing a virtual reality headset is to improve ease of use by enhancing its ergonomic forms. This device is in direct contact with the one of the most important organs of the human body, the head, when used. In addition, the duration of use of this product may be long. Therefore, trying to design a more ergonomic and lighter headset has been one of the design priorities of this product.
