| DESIGN NAME: MANOcam PRIMARY FUNCTION: Action Cam 360 support INSPIRATION: I decided to change the portability of an ActionCam 360, which allowed me to attach it to my bike but without having to remove the mount when using it normally. My main goal is to be able to carry it comfortably in my hand, fasten it to the bike and avoid damaging the spherical lenses when I put it away. Easily access the USB port and battery. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: MANOcam is a holder for ActionCam to be fixed to the handlebar of the bicycle. But it's also an accessory that improves your camera grip in many situations. Easy to place on a table, in a horizontal and/or vertical position. During a shoot but also for convenient storage when it is off. The large handle acts as an attachment to the handlebar of the bicycle and allows easy access to the battery compartment and USB port. You don't need to take the ActionCam out of the holder when recharging the ba OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: MANOcam has three basic functions: horizontal and vertical ActionCam holder during filming, secure storage and ActionCam bike holder. MANOcam can be adjusted in two angles: 180° and 90°. The 90° angle is suitable when taking a selfie with the 9:16 vertical video format, while the 180° angle is suitable for comfortably positioning the device while charging or for 16:9 video shooting. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was started at the beginning of March 2023 in the Multigraphic studio/workshop and concluded in the design and construction phase (3D printing) at the end of March 2023. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This design was initially made with 3D printing technologies, but will also be made with CNC milling technology in the future. Made up of an ASA casing and M4 screws. The design could also be extended to different ActionCams, maintaining the handle as the main motif. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 110mm x Depth 25mm x Height 130mm TAGS: Product design, ActionCam holder, ergonomic grip, ActionCam holder for bikes, MANOcam RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Ergonomics, ease of use and placement. Without constraints when charging, changing the battery and limits to access the USB socket. CHALLENGE: Allowing a support that is not limited to a specific use (bicycle or table), but could be used in the most varied situations.
