PRIMARY FUNCTION: Trip Booking Website
INSPIRATION: Star Travel Co. is a Russian tour operator specializing in inbound tourism in Russia. The company wants to expand its market internationally and switch business from B2B to B2C in need of a digital transformation to appeal to international customers and sell its travel products. Star Travel hopes to build a new brand that is modern and clean that can be scalable at different places.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Redesign the website of Star Travel Group: a Russian tour operator, to support the company’s new business model transition from B2B to international B2C. Adjusted brand impression of target audience by redesigning the branding and landing webpage with clear marketing messages that convey convenience, flexibility, comfort, and local charisma. The new website allows users to book travel accommodations and/or tours that are suitable for the user's travel plan, budget needs, and leisure preferences.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The main page of the website provides recommendations based on a user’s recent search. This feature can be helpful as it provides users customized information they need.
The website encourage users to sign up for their own account to keep track of their recent purchase, search results, and save the trips/accommodations they would like to consider in the future
The website is designed to provide users a flexible way to plan their trips. Users are free to book any tours, trips, hotels and restaurants based on their own travel plan.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was designed and implemented from Jan - Apr 2020 at Seattle.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The website was designed with Figma, Principle, Illustrator, and Photoshop; it was built with a component-based framework using React Native.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Star Travel website addresses both search users and browse users, with a straightforward search bar at the top, followed by attractive images of accommodations and experiences.

As such, the company is in need of a digital transformation to appeal directly to international customers and sell its travel products.
