PRIMARY FUNCTION:
EV Charging Station

INSPIRATION:
The product design was inspired by the contrast between the strong wind power brought by the galloping vehicles and the iInsufficient electricity of electric vehicles while driving on the highway. By collecting wind power on the highway, converting it into storage into electric energy, and finally feeding it back to the new energy vehicles that come to charge, the organic cycles of energy can be achieved to a certain extent.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
V-Charger is an emergency charging device designed for electrical vehicle users on the highway. The properties are as follows. 1. Adapting wind power generation to EV charging can achieve clean and sustainable development; 2. Generating afterimages (SLOW) through swaying itself to remind people to pay attention to road safety and realize the pleasant perception of travel; 3. Since there is no complicated mechanism, the maintenance and repair of V-Charger is also easier.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
V-charger is a new energy charging station that converts wind power into electricity.1. It is swayed by the wind generated by vehicles passing by on the highway, and then the eddy current increases the amplitude to cut the magnetic field to generate current and store it in the battery pack to power electric vehicles; 2. The indicator strip on the upper part of the charging station will generates an afterimage (SLOW) when it shakes rapidly to prompt people to pay attention to the driving speed, and the level of the light strip will also help understand the remaining electricity of the charging station.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project began in 2022 in Shanghai. By the end of the same year, V-charger team explored relevant technical support and entered the design stage. The final product will be launched in 2023.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The device is made of light and elastic composite glass and carbon fiber, and as the wind bypasses the cylindrical turbine, it will cause a phenomenon known as vortex shedding, which allows the device to sway and convert kinetic energy into electric energy. The minimalist form of the product and aerodynamic upper part are highly waterproof, so it can be installed next to the highway. The batteries of the new energy charging station are modular, so it can realize the simultaneous generation of multiple vorticity generators, maximizing the stored electricity, which is forward-looking.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Height: 3000mm Bottom Diameter: 372mm Top Diameter: 132mm The case is manufactured from Sheet molding compound. The sway part is manufactured from elastic compound materials to increase the amplitude and improve the energy conversion efficiency.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The dynamic loop of energy is the way of green and sustainable development. The main innovation is to convert wind power generated by human activities into electricity according to demands, and improving resource utilization. This new energy charging station will also provide energy security for those on the road, and no longer has to worry that the car has insufficient electricity.

CHALLENGE:
The main goal was to design a new energy charging station that can allow electric vehicles on the highway to get a timely electricity supply. This product needs to be environmentally friendly and promote harmonious coexistence between human and nature. It was challenging to be durable and optimize the hardware to handle multiple natural weather conditions. Solution: Increasing composite materials such as rubber and so on in the shaking part to enhance the strength, firmness and shock resistance of the product. The use of vaneless turbines will also improve its stability.
