| DESIGN NAME: Solanum PRIMARY FUNCTION: Functional Art INSPIRATION: The inspiration for this stunning art piece comes from the La chichigua, pichichio, ubre de vaca o manzana de sodoma fruit, which can be found in Central America and parts of South America. The piece was designed as a multi-purpose side table. The artistic aesthetics endeavor seeks to resemble a decorative fruit from Guatemala and the Central American region that best represents life in that tropical region. Its construction is fiberglass over stainless steel internal structure and a glass support plate. The artistic piece provides a sturdy, functional surface in an aesthetically pleasing way. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Aesthetic functional art object that serves as a side table purpose. Unmistakable, it is an art object that will embellish any space. Designed to generate peaceful and positive emotions in the observer. With a 12mm template glass can hold most weight and activity. The glass is fixed to a stainless steel base that attaches directly to the internal structure. It can easily move by means of installed sliders at the bottom. CHALLENGE: Creating custom luxury items can take some time since clients tend to be very busy individuals and feedback is slow, but that is the nature of the job.
