| DESIGN NAME: Truth in wine PRIMARY FUNCTION: Earring INSPIRATION: The designers were inspired by the rich burgundy color of the wine, which they took as the basis of this product and were able to pick it up in a palette of cold enamel and use it in jewelry. The authors wanted to create a simple thing, while spectacular and practical. The authors caught the dynamics of filling the glass in the product. The authors tried to use minimalism and practicality in creating the product. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Any good party comes with wine. As a basis, the authors of the project took the usual form of a wine glass and a drink splashing in it. The item is a small silver earring. The color is made in the technique of enamel. The authors made the product small enough, which makes it almost weightless and comfortable to wear. The earring is unpaired and made in a single copy. At the same time, the earring goes well with different clothing options and attracts attention. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Unisex earring. The earring is small, but very accent. Comfortable to wear. It goes well with other silver jewelry. The earring is made in a single copy. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Designed and manufactured in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2022. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Silver, cold enamel. 3D modeling, milling in jewelry wax on a CNC machine, casting in metal, grinding, polishing, enamel, installation. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Height 25.5 mm, width 8.7 mm, thickness 1.3 mm TAGS: Earring, earrings, enamel, silver, wine, glass RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The authors have worked out a variant of the universal fastening of the earring so that it can be used as a variety of jewelry. The earring has a French lock that can be easily removed and worn in different ways. If you put it on a chain, it will work like a pendant. Wine can be worn as a keychain on a bracelet. CHALLENGE: The authors of the project decided to create their own vision of minimalist earrings with enamels. Designers realized that most of the jewelry is adorned with stones, and enamel is too underestimated option, although in this design the jewelry becomes more modern and stylish. The authors conveyed the dynamics in the product. The wine splashes in the glass, and due to the movable fastening of the earring, a play of silver and enamel light is created, adding dynamics.
