| DESIGN NAME: Leftard PRIMARY FUNCTION: Movie Trailer INSPIRATION: We are living in an age of Political Correctness. We share values from different point of views, such as LGBT, BLM and feminism. Diversity is an innovation but I concern about a world with JUSTICE ONLY. There are 50+ kinds of harassment in Japan. The message of “A strong justice is a kind of violence” and the story is the outcome I can foresee. The problem can't be defined objectively but only by the subjective judgement of the victims. Overreaction and over-justice are ruining our freedom. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A world of the high level of moral standard, people kept save from harassment, discriminations, hate speeches by labeling the perpetrator with a special gun. A man was getting shot as daily because of many kinds of misunderstanding. He struggled, learnt, but there is no hope for him to fit-in. In the way of searching the meaning of communication, he was depressed. "Language carries no meaning. Nothing left in this world but hate." The answer was cruel, eventually he loaded a bullet in real gun. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is the very first time for me to take part in every process of a media production. From scripting, shooting, acting, CG, VFX, editing to recording, it was really challenging. The production was finished by an IphoneXR and a stand for shooting and recording. Most of the post productions were completed by AE and the 3D assets were modeled by Blender. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project was started in October 2021 in Kyoto Seika University and finished in January 2012 in Kyoto Seika University. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Scripting, Movie shooting, VFX, SFX, Audio Recording, Motion graphic SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Cinematographic media production with VFX. video:H264, resolution:1920 x 1080, 29.97fps, length: 3mins TAGS: Leftard, LeMondePro, Harassment, Hong Kong, Japan, logic, trailer, VFX, movie RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The movie direction style mostly took reference from Infernal Affairs(2002). The concept of the story was based on a mind-set of pessimism. The research on this project focused on political correctness, LGBT+, BLM, harassment, etc. Most of the data came from news and social media. In results, the story concluded the over-reaction is spreading around the world daily. The main theme was chosen as harassment in purpose of relating to Japan community. CHALLENGE: The most difficult part was the lack of specialties. I had to finish a full-production by myself, from scripting to post-production. I did not have a crew with professional camera, lighting or recording equipment but I found ways and tried my best to cover the weaknesses by all I can do.
