PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Suite Space

INSPIRATION:
Insipred by a new style bachelor life nowadays. An exclusive space created for the eligible bachelor, with personal character as the orientation, connecting the space from various interests in art, music, photography, and foreign humanities, and expressing the aesthetics of single life with retro and innovative elements.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The bachelor-based design is the modern bachelorist taste in the 185sq ft. apartment suite. There is an eligible bachelor who is fascinated by art, books, photography, music and so on. Everywhere in the bedroom is the atmosphere of a straight man. The space is elegant and unruly, but it is full of harmony in a single state.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
In a limited space, it is necessary to have all the functions of life, with the most simplified design to achieve the greatest common divisor that meets the quality of life of a single, from the dressing area to the display work platform to a lingering bathroom, live naturally.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project finished in Dec. 2020 in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
With the dramatic fragmented red brick wall of old stucco as the entrance base, gray-white steps, metal and bionic stone materials are used to flow through the space boundary with the light source, breaking the traditional indoor boundary and shaping a quiet and private space. With the breakthrough design concept of refreshing the three perspectives, create a space of introverted contemplation, in order to obtain the inspiration of artistic creation!

This project is about 185 square feet.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Taking the nostalgia of the new era as the design concept, the modern ultimate material craftsmanship and retro feelings are juxtaposed in the space. It is like statues that symbolize the single position of not looking, not listening, and not talking.

CHALLENGE:
Get rid of the damp and dirty image of the traditional brick-built old house, the whole room space uses natural environmentally friendly mineral paint, which can not only absorb formaldehyde, but also let the space have fresh air, just like living in an endless organic volume.
