| DESIGN NAME: The Oasis PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bank Headquarters INSPIRATION: The entrance hall of the bank's head quarter is responsible for reflecting the first impression of the organization, what's more important than confidence and stability in the banking sector to achieve trust, the post modern concept designed carefully to accomplish a deep sense of safety and belief by connecting the visitors with their roots using iconic symbols of the local cultural heritage such as the Oasis that always symbolizes prosperity and growth in the local desert culture UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A smart proportional internal space which takes the visitors gradually from a narrower high ceiling entrance lobby to a spacious Oasis with bright sky light and natural landscape to create an emotional impression that surpasses the boundaries of the building's solid surfaces and yet maintaining a modern comfortable interior by using contemporary straight lines including strong edges and contrasting rich familiar materials to deliver the elegant and luxurious feel of the area OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A Comfortable and calm space designed to host the visitors for long waiting periods of time by using the effect of natural sky light, plants & water features to create audiovisual connection with the natural environment that adds to the feeling of human comfort while maintaining a smooth flow through the various functions of the space by using a way finding floor pattern PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project Started on November 2021 and Ended on March 2022 in Doha, Qatar FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The work started in the design with a lot of sketches and drawings with (AutoCAD) then the transition to the stage of choosing the colors, materials used lighting and furniture to make mood boards by (Adobe Photoshop) to be designed as required. then we started to 3D modelling using (Autodesk 3ds max), V RAY and Adobe Photoshop SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: A spacious 600 sqm open space with double height ceiling of 9 meters height that consists of entrance lobby, main foyer, waiting areas, security counter, reception counter, twin towers entrances, bank retail branch entrance, bank's corporate branch entrance and services all gathered together through open passages between the artificial landscape features designed to provide internal circulation without any visual barriers TAGS: bank design, bank interior, corporate interior, bank headquarter, post modern, interior design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The idea was to reach out for the roots of the visitors by using iconic symbols of their local cultural heritage such as the Oasis by using natural palm trees, plants and water features as well as using oriental architectural patterns that always symbolizes prosperity and growth in the local desert culture which helped us develop a post modern concept, designed carefully to achieve a deep sense of stability & confidence CHALLENGE: Creating an iconic post modern interior that reflects the future while respecting the past by combining oriental architectural patterns along with natural landscape elements within a modern straight lined interior ADDED DATE: 2022-04-06 11:26:16 TEAM MEMBERS (2) : Ahmed Farghaly and Ayman El Mahdi IMAGE CREDITS: B5 Design, 2021.
