| DESIGN NAME: Spirit Specter PRIMARY FUNCTION: Digital Painting INSPIRATION: Inspiration started as an exploration of human needs and their purpose. It came when the artist exposed himself to his deepest fear known to the artist at that moment, a fear of existentiality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The artwork symbolizes the ongoing, eternal, and internal transformation of one's self, knowledge, and actions in relation to the universe and society. It depicts emotional, mental, and spiritual growth through a series of challenges. It promotes balance, harmony, and oscillation between female and male aspects. By learning basic elements like emotional function, instincts, and rational mind, the creation of ego, and ways to build qualities to overcome the rational mind into overmind and supermind. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The painting is set in 4 stages, starting from the bottom to the top: nature, human, karma (left and right) and union on top. A sphere design was chosen to represent the sun and also for its unique property where from the center to the surface there is always an equal distance regardless of the angle. Its symbolic meaning represents equality towards all human beings, regardless of their chosen perspectives. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2014 in Belgrade and finished in March 2022 in Dublin. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Basic sketches were hand-drawn with a pencil on paper. Combining them into one big drawing, having them redrawn and further developed in "Photoshop" SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The size of digital art of is 523 mm x 523 mm/300 dpi. TAGS: spirit specter, sol spirit, visionary art, digital art, humanity, artofcore, vanja vizner RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research was set as a spiritual journey of an artist. The objective was to clear oneself of illusions accumulated by personal beliefs about reality and to investigate the conscious process of knowledge of self. The methodology used was an approach of not knowing and accepting everything as it comes rather than trying to form the reality to the artist's liking, which would just create another illusion. CHALLENGE: The research challenge was to test known knowledge, acquire new first-hand knowledge, and reintegrate that into a meaningful whole as a painting. Experimentation and first-hand knowledge can be very intensive, expensive, and time-consuming. The whole process of making lasted for 8 years, from the beginning of the artist's career to the completion of his first collection. This digital painting was partly redrawn as part of development and completely redrawn once. NAME: Art of core PROFILE: Art of core is a brand and graphic design studio, that was founded in 2015. in Croatia. The founder, Vanja Vizner, is a self-educated artist and in-house designer. He had published six visionary artworks and two short animations in the previous seven years. He is currently developing audio-video 3D animations for music events. |
