INSPIRATION:
After the paper cup is used, it will enter the cycle and be re-utilized. Recycling paper cups is becoming a new lifestyle and is getting increasingly popular. This paper cup recycling machine is committed to providing a new lifestyle to make paper cup recycling a habit and the closed loop of recycling paper cups more efficient.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Every year,250 billion paper cups are consumed worldwide. But actually, these paper cups aren't as green as they seem. Paper cups are extremely difficult to recycle because the plastic waterproof coating is difficult to break down. Nowadays, the hydrophilic paper cup coating has been successfully developed and marketed, which greatly reduces the difficulty of paper cup recycling. We designed a paper cup recycling machine to flatten the paper cup, and make it recyclable.

Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) is a key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China and is one of the oldest universities in China. XJTU is one of China’s first institutions of modern higher education. We celebrated our 120th anniversary of the founding of Jiaotong University and the 60th anniversary of its westward relocation on April 8, 2016.
