| DESIGN NAME: Snap to Hide EcoFlex PRIMARY FUNCTION: Magnetic Privacy Screen INSPIRATION: The unprecedented market disruption from the covid pandemic had challenge us to rethink our corporate product design approach to focus not on a product core functionality, but also on adding health, safety and eco friendly element to the design mix. Snap to Hide EcoFlex magnetic privacy screen protector is designed with these new focus, adding anti-virus, anti-bacteria and using a biodegradable core material in response to what we believed to be the next emerging post pandemic trends. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Snap To Hide EcoFlex is the first anti-bacteria privacy screen protector in the market made with the our latest proprietary eco friendly technology EcoFlex , a process that uses bio degradable Triacetate Cellulose as core material with lower PET usage & can reduce 80% carbon emission. And it is More light weight to lower the shipping cost for delivery, Snap To Hide EcoFlex will be The next generation "stay clean , go green & be stealthy" in a snap solution for the returning workforce of the post covid pandemic era OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The perfect mix of special coatings. material, magnetic element & placement with highest standard of 60 degree Microlouver Technology privacy protection plus the awards winning "snap to hide" patent to provide user a more effective screen privacy protection with zero alignment hassles plus cutting edge features like anti-bacteria, anti-blue-lights, anti-reflections, anti smudge for clean, safe & prolonged viewing comfort; all packed in a 0.32mm ultra slim unibody design that fit seamlessly onto the device PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Even with our previous success of the 2019/2020 A'Design Winning Design [Snap To Hide 2.0], the new material & technology for this design still took us 18 months of vigorous testing to get the right recipe of the product. Prototype samples was send some key region client from Dec 2021 to Jan 2022 & we are scheduled for a pre-launch around Jun/July 2022 before the Full launch on SEP, a prefect timing for a product that is specially designed and will be embraced by a "Post Pandemic" market. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Snap To Hide EcoFlex is the first screen protection product in the market made with our proprietary technology EcoFlex that uses TAC (Triacetate Cellulose), an organic biodegradable material commonly used for photographic film, glass lenses & electronic screens with optical quality most comparable to glass yet the impact resistance is comparable to polycarbonate. Using TAC with other layers of specialized film & coatings, we can lower the PET usage & reduce 80% carbon emission during production. Our lead designer realized the need to make full use of any remote working technology we can get and started an AD-HOC team to quickly integrate resources from both teams and supplier to accelerate and get back the momentum of design and development.
