| DESIGN NAME: Color Printer PRIMARY FUNCTION: Art Materials, Stationery Supplies and G INSPIRATION: Color printer is a device to print of different type of colors. Inspired by ysl lipstick printer, system of coffee makers and designed to save resources; It can print with watercolor liquid, marker and pen inks with any desired color, volume by the user. It has a precise scanner, touch panel, syncs to a mobile application, receives specification of colors, prints exact with certain amount and saves color codes and reprints them accurately.This green device can be used by array of users, includi UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A color printer is an environment friendly device for printing of different type of colors. This device has the ability to print watercolor colors, marker and pen ink. Color printer, which has the ability to control and also has dual adjustments (by the touch panel’s device or mobile’s application) can combine and print the desired kind and color of ink and the required amount. This device, while creating a great variety of colors for the user, significantly reduces the consumption of materials OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: First, the mode of the device is set based on the desired ink (watercolor, marker or pen inks) and special cartridges are placed in the device. Then the preferred color specifications are entered into the device by one of the following three methods: 1.Color scanning (by mobile application or device scanner); 2. Select a color from the digital color palette or enter color codes (via the mobile application or the device's touch panel); 3. Place a drop of the selected color on a special slide and insert it in the device’s compartment. After receiving color specifications and determining its volume by the user, the device removes color from the color cartridges and combines them in the compartment. If watercolor printing is considered, at this stage, sufficient water is added to the composition. In the last step, the washing mode is selected and the machine automatically washes the mixing chamber with hot water and drains the sewage into a chamber. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: - SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: -Product Size: Width 100mm * Depth 200mm * Height 220mm. -The material printed from the cartridges is measured with the accuracy of one milligram and, depending on its density, is combined for a sufficient time in a certain container. -In the washing step, the water temperature is continuously measured by a sensor that detects the temperature of the liquid, with an accuracy of 0.15° C and when it reaches 40°C; It immediately switches off the heating element. -The water and sewage parts of the device have the ability to be separated and cleaned. -In the pre-design and during design stages, the functions required by users are researched based of a survey and the results, the product is formed and takes its final shape. This device, while creating a great variety of colors for the user, significantly reduces the consumption of materials and prevents the overproduction of raw materials. CHALLENGE: One of the most important challenges of this design is the ability to print with different kinds of ink. Also, keeping some of the previous color in the chamber and thus affecting the preparation of the next color was another challenge of this design, which was solved with an acceptable extent by the washing mode with hot water.
