DESIGN DETAILS
DESIGN NAME:
Polaroid

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Set of Cutlery and Tableware

INSPIRATION:
Polaroid is a crockery and cutlery system designed to be modular, versatile, attractive, and interchangeable, that allows us to use it in different situations. It can be renewed and adapted to the tastes of each user, occasionally or permanently.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A versatile, fun and multifunctional cutlery. A wide range of customers can be attracted by the variability of the design and its easy interchangeability. Convertible at the whim of the user, "polaroid" can range from graphics as diverse as classic to the coolest and most daring. With no limits on themes and creativity, this tableware promises to be a fun way to take our enthusiasm for tasting to another level.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The accessories used in the tableware are designed to isolate the temperature of food, whether hot or cold, from the user. These accessories fit the products according to shape and counter shape. It is proposed that the cutlery accessories be universal and fit any cutlery indistinctly, allowing space and money savings, because the user would only have one tableware and different utensils of each theme that they may want to use on occasions and places.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in March 2021 in Pinar del Rio and finished in April 2021 in Pinar del Rio.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Porcelain was used in this design. Porcelain is aesthetic and elegant, it represents health and hygiene, it is easily cleaned from stains, it has very low water absorption, so it does not contain bacteria on its surface, it also proposes variants in enameled metal, plastic and glass to give more variants to customers according to the needs of each user. The cutlery is made of stainless steel, and the handles and the replaceable case are made of PBAT.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Height of the kit/pot from 35 to 60 cm Maximum diameter from 20 to 50 cm

TAGS:
tableware, ceramicware, innovative design, lifestyle, home design, kitchen, crockery

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
To create crockery and cutlery that reflected the users' creativity, crockery was designed with a slit where the pieces are hooked by pressure. In the deep plates the glass and the cup enter from below. The handles of the cutlery are the same, the knife is in a horizontal position for more comfortable use, in the handles they also have a slit through which the nerve of the colored pieces slides and they fit by pressure.

CHALLENGE:
The crockery not only changes its appearance but also changes its functionality depending on the utensil used, it allows the glass to become a cup or a cup of coffee and milk. They can be made from textures of different materials such as wood to photos or dedications. Additionally, the set can be embossed with braille words to help identify each item more easily.
