PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Whisky Bar

INSPIRATION:
The bar is called Glance. The design centered around the brand “Glance" with an exterior eye-shaped wall. The designer used large screens to engage with corrugated steel surfaces. Abstractly reproduces the surrounding environment of water wave flow, lights reflect and landscape characteristics internally. It's like views reflect in your eyes. From the eye-shape exterior to the urban impression of the interior, the unity of design elements and the continuity of spatial conception is formed.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
It is an interior design case for a whisky bar with an interior area of 110 square meters, and it is located beside the main road by the river. hundreds of thousands of vehicles and people pass by every day. The bar is called Glance. The designer transformed the exterior wall facing the street into a large glass window in the shape of an eye. The unique shape has attracted the attention of constant passers-by. Brand awareness has been rapidly improved with the help of spatial recognition.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
A large LED screen with a picture of the river is interwoven with the wine display wall indoors. The designer uses a dynamic light source to interact with the corrugated steel surface at the top of the space to create the visual effect of city lights flowing across the river. The design abstractly expresses the most characteristic landscape and night view of the city. It also creates an incredible and dreamed space conception in line with the business.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
In the process of designing and producing the glass exterior wall, the designer needs to simulate the view of different angles through the computer, as well as the combination of each component. Thus, the designer ensures the optimal display effect under both sunlight and artificial light.

CHALLENGE:
The purpose is to provide a positive impact on the commercial operation by design. The space has only 110 square meters, and the business market is niche. The designer hopes to connect the brand with the unique spatial modelling so that passers-by will notice the space at a glance and recognize the brand. Therefore, an eye-shape exterior wall is created, and the interior is set as sceneries of the city through this eye. The tight connection between brand and design is impressive.
