| DESIGN NAME: Animal Musician PRIMARY FUNCTION: Toy INSPIRATION: Children's innate curiosity about the sounds of animals led us to think about the possibility of designing a musical toy for children through the sounds of animals, allowing them to create music while palying with the blocks. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Animal Musician combines music with blocks and tells stories with music, allowing children to play music while playing blocks. As a product that combines music with blocks, Animal Musician intends to help more children feel the charm of music when they are playing with toys. It consists of magnet blocks in the shape of animals, plants and stones, and scene planks. Different music stories can be created with various combinations. Children can create infinite music with wide choices of planks, animals, plants, and stones as well as different placing of each element. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: 1. Select a scene board. 2. Arrange the blocks on the scene board in the way you want. 3. Press the switch and start playing music. 4. This moment, enjoy the music. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project starts in October 2021 in Zhejiang, China and is completed in February 2022 in Zhejiang, China. CHALLENGE: Animal Musician combines music with blocks and tells stories with music, allowing children to play music while playing blocks.Children can create infinite music with wide choices of planks, animals, plants, and stones as well as different placing of each element.The scene determines the background music, blocks decide on the percussion, while relations between animals (the place they are) set the rhythm.The animal blocks mimic the calls of animals and the plant blocks represent musical instruments.The colorful and diverse ways of playing Animal Musician set no limits for children’s creativity.
