DESIGN NAME:
Last Genocide

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Memorial

INSPIRATION:
This proposal is an attempt to answer this question (when will genocide not be repeated? When all human beings from different cultures and races can talk to each other And accept each other's differences. In fact, through dialogue and acceptance, we can reach the stage of discovering human commonalities that are independent of color, beliefs, race and etc.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This structure has found a special semantic connection between the site and the subject of the monument. From a perspective, genocide means depriving some people of life, which is the natural right of all human beings, so we likened the green space and trees to life, where there is no life at the point where the monument is located. It is actually a monument to a tree that has the potential to grow and flourish but it dries up and is deprived of life.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Lost In this space, the audience has no outward view and can only see the sky that is shared everywhere. In fact, thrown to nowhere; The feeling that most victims of genocide experienced before they were killed. The audience must bend their head for entering. Respect for the victims / The identity of those present is not recognizable from the outside (all human beings are equal in any color and race) / The perpetrators of genocide do not pay attention to ‘Human aspects’ = human dimensions.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in April 2021 in Brampton Canada and finished in September 2021 in Brampton Canada.

FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY:
Architecture, Building and Structure Design

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Column (tree structure) This structure is made of metal pipes with variable sections The coat of this structure is steel sheets with high reflectivity. Ring structure consists of a metal profile, Interior cover, Painted metal sheet and External cover is stretch metal.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Foundation To prevent the anchor, the diameter of the foundation is equal to the diameter of the structure In addition, the foundation is made of reinforced concrete with a depth of 80 cm Building height: 5500 mm, opening diameter: 3800 mm, metal trunk diameter inside the building: 400 mm

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The main questions is how can have a message for the whole world Where people of different races stand within a common Ring (unity and empathy) and where dialogue and communication begin. Dialogue and the creation of new relationships, regardless of race, is the mission of this monument. This proposal is an attempt to answer this question (when will genocide not be repeated? When all human beings from different cultures and races can talk to each other. And accept each other's differences. In fact, through dialogue and acceptance, we can reach the stage of discovering human commonalities that are independent of color, beliefs, race and etc. In this space, the audience has no outward view and can only see the sky that is shared everywhere.

CHALLENGE:
The main questions is how can have a message for the whole world while paying attention to the context (at the site, city, and country scale)? Can the context be considered as a potential? What should be the global message of this monument? The last genocide? When will the genocide not be repeated? This proposal is an attempt to answer this question (when will genocide not be repeated?
