PRIMARY FUNCTION: Brand Identity
INSPIRATION: The brand design is inspired by the luxury and high-quality tailor shop. Professional tailors created unique suits for clients with perfect fabric. The design weaves classic customized values into its visual identity with a harmonious logo and modern layout that pay homage to the craftsmen. Its innovative logo and refreshing color palettes combine the contemporary fashion trend which evokes customized-jewel9;s charm.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In design of the Terra Ferra, the bold and confident logotype reveals the essence of the experiment spirits. From those generous white space to create contrast highlight customized novel jewelries. The design strategy is to hero the project itself without any hesitation. An experimental studio with professional service image is embodied in a classic but contemporary color palette. Look through the whole branding system, the audience can easily get the authentic brand look with a creative and modern touch.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Terra Ferra is a customized-jewelry brand that offers digital service for customized jewelry production. It provides the opportunity to choose and co-create high-quality unique jewelry items for people who can’t meet their expectations in regular brands/shops. The design is part of the professional and creative customized experience that brings a dialogue between jewels and people.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2021 in New York and finished in July 2021 in New York.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All the graphics were made in Adobe Illustrator to remain the vector quality. Final designs were delivered in RGB, CMYK, and Pantone colors in order to keep the brand color appearance consistent throughout all media. Posters, stationery and packaging are printed using CMYK color and offset technology.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The product's design used a vector graphics editor. As a vector graphic, it can be scaled up and down without any loss to the quality of the image. The branding final design was submitted in both RGB and CMYK color variants for printing and social media marketing. The logo could be used separately by the Client to identify themselves by engraving it on different materials.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The objective starts from brand experience, brand personality and character definition, target audience, and market positioning. The experience defined – a professional and creative customized experience. Terra Ferra is a modern, professional and innovative creator. Thorough research of the history of jewelry design and customized-tailor is conducted before concept development. Compared to other graphic design projects, I conducted way more user interviews and workshops on Terra Ferra due to its genuine quality of heavy user/customer interaction. It was a very interesting experience for me to deeply co-create concepts and content with users.
CHALLENGE: A market oversaturated with jewels, quality not being competitive were the main challenges for the company. The design needs to bring an innovative experience of customized-jewels that had to express trust, innovation, and connection to end customers and create an emotional bonding.
