| DESIGN NAME: Susa PRIMARY FUNCTION: Speaker INSPIRATION: My goal was to be inspired by the historical monuments of the past and to create modern product by combining the art of the past. Pottery is one of the oldest man-made compositions and Iranian pottery is one of the oldest pottery in the world. This speaker is inspired by a goat-shaped Pottery figure. I wanted to show the historical art of the past in the current product and I wanted to show the spirit of the past in a modern product. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: "Susa" is based on smart technology. Part of the body is plastic and part of it is covered with fabric. The device has a USB and Bluetooth port, which makes it used as a portable speaker. Cable is used to charge this product. In the front of the body, soft light is used and At night, its light can be used as table light. Creating a strong emotional connection with the user, in addition to sound quality, is a feature of this product. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This product enables the user to connect to other devices such as telephones via Bluetooth technology. One of the most important features of this speaker is its special and different form. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: It started in Esfarayen, Iran in December 2021 and finished in February 2022. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Bluetooth technology has used for making Susa a portable device. The body is made of plastic. Some of the information has been achieved through observations and interviews with users to consider their interests in relation to this type of product in the design. CHALLENGE: Designing and presenting based on a new and different form was one of the most challenging parts of this process. And also the combination of historical art of the past and modern art in one product was one of the most important and challenging parts of the design of this product.
