DESIGN NAME: Stella
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sink
INSPIRATION: Stella monoblock washbasin is designed to transform bathrooms into new living spaces with its sculptural structure. The figurative sculptural appearance gives Stella a dynamic form. Stella, which can be mounted independently on the wall, offers an alternative proposal to the future bathrooms instead of traditional bathrooms. It is aimed to adapt to other bathroom equipment with simplicity, functionality, smooth surface transitions, and different color options.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The unique feature of this design is that it can be positioned away from the wall, unlike other sinks. Another part is separated from standard washbasins with its sculptural structure. In addition, Stella can be mounted away from the wall and mounted directly to the floor.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The mounting system of this design, which can be mounted on the faucet, is completely ground-based. This sink, which supplies the entire plumbing system from the ground, does not need wall mounting.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2021 in İstanbul and finished in July 2021 in Istanbul

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The purpose of this design is to give bathrooms a dynamic appearance by mounting them in any desired position, instead of equipment that is stacked on the wall and provides a monotonous appearance in bathrooms. While using the literature review method for product standards, data from user experiences for function and function were taken into account.
CHALLENGE: This sink has a large volume compared to other standard washbasins, causing many difficulties in the forming process.
