| DESIGN NAME: Detachable Jewelleries for All Occasions PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interchangeable Accessories INSPIRATION: One day, sister of the founder shared an exciting news that she was getting married. Her mom planned to gift her traditional Chinese wedding jewelry as dowry. But sister wished that the jewelry could be worn more than once, ideally every day like her mom was always by her side. With her creativity, the founder set out to create personalizable, detachable jewelry that could bridge the gap between traditional Chinese dowry jewelry and everyday fashion. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Detachable jewelleries for all occasions - Our products are collections of masterpieces and patented assembable parts that can be added or removed to form the look, style & most importantly any functions (ring, earring, pendant, hair accessory, pin & etc) as you want. This is a new technique to resolve the current limitations in the global jewellery industry - mostly rigidly fixed or simply replacing the jewellery pieces on some fixed parts / items like what our competitors are facing, e.g. Pandora, Qudo OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is basically rounds of iterations and refinement between the founder and the jewellery master over 1 year. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project idea was first brought up in late 2019 and finished in end 2020, in Hong Kong. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Our innovation involves extensive technological design and analyses. After rounds of production iterations, the design has been proven commercially feasible through successful patent registration. With the following features, our patented products will be a breakthrough to the global jewellery industry - assembable parts can be selectively added / removed to connect more than 1 masterpieces and form different patterns or designs like lego; and - assembable parts can be connected to multifarious ornament units, not limited to the pre-set units and thus fixed functions. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Various given they are a collection of jewellery masterpieces and assessmable parts. TAGS: Detachable jewelleries, mix & match jewelleries, multiple-purpose jewelleries, everyday dowry, jewelleries for all occasions, DIY jewelleries, jewellery, jewelry RESEARCH ABSTRACT: An in-depth search from websites and other public engines were conduct to understand the current development of detachable jewelleries in the market and which are the major innovative competitors. A SWOT analysis was also performed to compare their advantages and more importantly their limitations which are the areas that we are trying to fill in or penetrating areas for our business case. The findings are summarised and presented in the Hong Kong Patent Registration which was successfully filed and granted. CHALLENGE: 1. The versatility and adaptability of our jewellery designs also help us realize our personal aspiration to save the environment. So far, our innovation has been recognised through a successful patent registration in Hong Kong and becomes a true intellectual asset to our infant design company. While the world evolves, like cars are no longer just gasoline and driver-diving cars, we aim to introduce a totally breaking-through concept and foster a trend in the traditionally static jewellery industry. |
