RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The common area is designed with big-sized windows without partitions. This helps extend and expand the spatial perception. The space beside the entrance is divided into two, each for the owners' use for work. The wooden, laser engraved world map on the kitchen door is coated with magnetic paint. While recording all the memories of life and travel, teaching kids about the world, they can as well plan for trips at any time.
CHALLENGE: The big beam of the master room is kept and embellished by light-colored wooden lattice. While adding some warm feeling to the space, it also turns the visual barrier into a part of the decoration. The bright white palette, compared to the common area, provides an ease at the private space. In order to cover the protruding column of the child's room, the storage cabinets are designed to be slightly tilted on the surface.
