INSPIRATION:
Parents are busy with their work and lack of companionship for their children. We carefully examine this problem and turn the Puppy's friendly and loyal intention into tangible design elements. As a Chair, it appears in children's daily life. Puppy Chair is not only a seat, but also an interesting playmate, and a space where parents can accompany their children to read. The chair can also create some interesting interactions with children through the way it is designed with adjustable parts.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Puppy Chair is a chair designed to accompany the growth of children and serve the parent-child family. Parents and children can sit in this chair and read picture books together, quietly telling stories they like. In the process of use, the chair accessories that can be flexibly replaced increase the use space of the companion chair as the child grows to meet different use needs. The detachable puppy storage compartment can satisfy children's storage of messy toys and develop good habits in life
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
There are many ways for children and parents to use this chair together. The detachable lamb wool material backrest and cushion can flexibly adjust the comfort and use space of the seat; children can also use the puppy-like seat as a "virtual partner" to accompany themselves and play with this little partner. The ears of the puppy hide the magnetic attraction structure, which can be changed at will, which is full of fun.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in Zhengzhou in July 2021 and was completed in September 2021.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The overall frame of the bench is composed of maple and walnut wood connected by traditional mortise and tenon joints. The backrest frame can be assembled by itself, which is fixed by four M6 bolts through the reserved holes on the sitting surface. To increase the comfort of the backrest, the soft cushion is made of lamb wool and fixed to the backrest frame with Velcro. And puppy ears through embedded magnets, can be fixed adsorption.
