DESIGN NAME: Pink Field of View
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential
INSPIRATION: The client has always been longing for a dreamy pink living space. This project has broken through the single image of pink of the past with its detailed color changes and complementary color arrangements. At the same time, situational spatial vistas and the pairing of different materials have turned the six-floor house into a romantic place through the open-end design; one will be walking into a fairytale when stepping into this space.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The space applied the French countryside style as the designing core with the expansion of the romantic pink color tones; also, three-dimension moldings have created a spatial richness by creating types of bow-knots, roses, ribbons, and wreaths onto cabinets, doors, ceiling junctions, and handles. Each corner of the residence is a vista on its own, while the lighting colors, furniture, and floral arrangement have built up a warm atmosphere. Complementary colors such as blue-grey, blanks, and wood grains are used to echo the critical pink shades to create a balanced spatial feeling.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This residence divides its area by its floors; the second floor borders the public and private areas. A smooth traffic flow and open-end design are applied to follow the living habits of the users; meanwhile, the space is appropriately rotated and is placed with many cabinets to increase spatial usage. Furthermore, each user preference is mixed with the interior design to show the mix-and-match ingenuity in different materials while achieving a rich and layer-ish spatial sense.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in June 2021 in Taiwan.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The flooring between the dining room and the kitchen is collaged with customized floral tiles in different patterns to create division; the method has also created a more expansive spatial feeling. At the same time, the double-vault ceiling of the living room is cut with a triangle ratio to increase height, while a chandelier is being placed to add layers to the room. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The second floor contains the living room, the kitchen, and the dining room, which the designer applied the open-end method. Elegant European wall tiles are embedded into the Roman columns of the television cabinet, echoing with the molding boards behind the sofa while dividing the living room and the rear resting area. Different flooring materials, the countertop cutting of the kitchen island, and the decorations for the dining table are used to divide the dining room and the kitchen. Also, the peach-pink, the rose-pink, the camelia-pink, and the Sakura-pink have together shown brightly.
CHALLENGE: The critical points of this project are the client expectations for precise calibration of dark and light colors, the richness in the same tone, and the appropriation of the color usage. Hence, the color arrangement of each area is designed to echo with each other to achieve balance and spatial division.
