| DESIGN NAME: Plant a Tree PRIMARY FUNCTION: Campaign INSPIRATION: The inspiration began when I started to look for a new way of convincing people to save trees and plant them. I thought if I demonstrate to people the direct economic and social benefits of having trees in their surroundings, how useful they are, they will start to think seriously about protecting and planting trees. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Plant a tree is a campaign, shows economic and social benefits of trees on individuals, through attractive illustration concepts, were displayed on posters, billboards, magazines, or a T-shirts, like any ordinary campaign; to encourage people to plant trees in their gardens and community and protect the existing trees. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Each illustration has a specific benefit about trees, people might know or not, but have they realized the direct effect of economic and social benefits of trees on their life style? that they can save money or live better. This campaign will make them realize those benefits, and encourage them to save and plant trees in their communities. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in, June 2021 in Amman , Jordan and finished in September 2021 in Amman, Jordan. it was not published except on Behance, in September 2021. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: I used Photoshop and illustrator programs to produce this project. I wanted the illustrations to look more attractive and beautiful, I made water color strokes, scanned them and made water color brushes on illustrator; to give the illustrations watercolor like appearance. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: each illustration concept was produced in different sizes: poster size A1 magazine size A4, and a size that works with T-shirts. TAGS: Save trees, Green, posters, campaign, billboards, magazine, Benefits, Illustrations, Water colors. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The research mainly was about trees benefits, Environmental, Economic, and social benefits, every benefits effects our life style directly in our community and could make us save money or live better life. CHALLENGE: The hardest thing in this project was, the making of the illustrations. I actually had the idea of each poster, but the problem was what is the style of the illustration that I will use. In the beginning of the project I had a collective style, I did not have my own style because I am not an Artist or illustrator, this was my 1st illustrated project, I made so many visual researches and tried to draw in different styles until I ended with those illustrations, I actually started a new future path on how to improve my illustration, and come up with my own illustration style. NAME: Nirmeen Hanandeh PROFILE: Nirmeen Hanandeh is a designer, graduated from university of Jordan in 2010, with bachelor degree of visual art, then came back and worked as teacher assistant in collage of Art and design. she worked in marketing agency, but came back for teaching after one year, she taught at Jubilee school for two years. she have been working as freelance designer, in Amman and with eyeka and different design platforms, since 2014. she like to design advertising campaigns and interactive methods in the education filed. she won a runner up place in war on virus contest with A design award with 3 posters |
