| DESIGN NAME: The Pure and Harmonious House PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: The design takes the retirement house as the primary axis. The priority is to be close to the users' needs, especially the hostess who has been home for a period. The owner have three daughters, living in Japan and France, respectively. Based on alleviating missing and narrowing the distance between each other, the space style boldly responds to the daily living and user preferences and presents alternately in different fields with modern Japanese type and romantic light French style. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The overall style of the case is a harmonious mix and matches the setting, integrating the modern pure and simple of the living room and restaurant, the quiet Zen of the Japanese-style room, and the romantic light French style in the private field. Its design inspiration comes from the countries where their children live, such as Japan and France. It seems to weave the shared space and years into the gentlest net to send the thoughts of parents and children. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This case is an old single-story elevator building. In the past, subject to the horizontal long house type and the compartment wall of up to four rooms, it blocked the finite natural light on the site, and the space was oppressed by piecemeal cutting. At this stage, owners don't need so many rooms because their children are self-reliant away from home. The primary users of the house are retired husband and wife, from which the following new space planning derived. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: For the case, we selected healthy, non-toxic and pure, and natural materials, including stone, solid wood leather, mirror surface, natural granite strips, super wear-resistant flooring, and imported tiles. We also chose the Japanese-style solid wood sliding door, Japanese door paper, and tatami, and even the sliding door tracks are made of hand-made wood grooves instead of specification hardware, and the diatomaceous earth that can adjust the humidity and odor of the environment. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This space is 148.5 square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Residential, House, Space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Japanese-style room was originally a traditional room in a Japanese house of which the floor covers with stacked mats, commonly known as tatami. People use Shoji (wooden and Japanese paper sliding doors) to separate Japanese-style spaces. The wall of the Japanese room is hand-made with a diatomaceous earth trowel, which implies the elegance and fun of the Japanese dry landscape. CHALLENGE: The material of the entrance floor are scratch-resistant granite, which separates the interior and exterior with a slight difference from the raising wooden floor of the whole room, and also has a dust collection effect. The aquarium wall which doubled as a welcoming side view and a media screen covers woodworking, aquarium equipment, and kitchenware systems in practice.
