DESIGN NAME: Moon
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Desktop Mirror
INSPIRATION: The combination of copper and mirror has always been attractive to me. So I decided to find a connection between copper and mirrors. The use of concrete for the main base was due to its weight and balance. Also, the use of copper pipe for the second base was due to its flexibility .
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design is a desktop mirror that can be rotated in any direction. The base of this mirror is made of concrete, which has a texture similar to the surface of the moon. The second base of this mirror is made of copper pipe. Copper has the ability to bend and form. The connection of the mirror to the pipe is made of copper, which has two holes to be placed inside the pipe. And at the end, a circular mirror with a diameter of 25 cm is placed on it .
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: To have a good interaction with this mirror, you have to put the mirror on the table. Adjust your height with a mirror by placing a chair behind a desk and sitting on it. This mirror is designed to see the face in any position and can be easily rotated and adjusted by hand and rotates in any direction you want. Use this mirror to have better face makeup and also shaving beard with more details.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2021 in Isfahan, IRAN and finished May 2021 in Isfahan

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In this design, concrete material has been used for the main base. High resistance of concrete against impact and weight of this material, it has been used as the main base. After that, copper pipe was used for the second base due to its flexibility. And finally, a copper container with two holes that are connected to the mirror on one side and to the copper pipe on the other side .
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Height 40 cm / Length 35 cm / Width 25 cm / Mirror diameter 25 cm

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Based on my research and observations, I tried to have a design for a desktop mirror that, in addition to being functional, also has a special and different design. My method is to use the simplest materials in design and construction. Combining different materials and arranging them together and finding a logical and correct connection between them is my priority. This project seeks to find the connection between "copper", "concrete" and "mirror" .
