DESIGN NAME: Hé(Together) audio
PRIMARY FUNCTION: It is an audio that can be break down.
INSPIRATION: "Hé", which means together/integrated/whole in Chinese, echoes the form of this work and allows the user to experience the meaning of combination. Hé re-decomposes existing audio by physically splitting elements such as rhythm and rhyme, lyricist and lyrics. This way allows the user to listen to the accompaniment alone or just the songs alone and listen to the complete music.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The audio is modular in design, with the three parts connected by magnet induction with induction charging, and the module can disassemble to experience features such as stereo surround. When opened, the audio connection to mobile phones and computers via Bluetooth. The re-decomposition of existing audio is a physical splitting of elements such as rhythm, lyricist and lyrics. This way allows the user to listen to the part of a song alone and listen to the complete music.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This audio mainly gives listeners more options, mainly by transforming the complete music into touchable "building blocks" so that users can experience the fun of disassembling and assembling "building blocks" in the process of disassembling and assembling music. For example, users can remove the accompaniment module separately and hum along with the accompaniment; users can also remove the lyrics separately to understand and memorize the lyrics.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in February 2020 and was included in the China 2020 student design exhibition.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The product uses inductive charging technology. When the user charges only the middle module, the two sides of the module when adsorbed for inductive charging. When opened, it is connected to the audio of cell phones and computers via Bluetooth. In addition, the combination of touch panel and magnet attachment method are its other important features.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As this is a design project to convert an auditory module into a haptic module, literature and video materials on modular design and haptic design were found. Research methods such as brainstorming and role-playing were used to explore more audio possibilities and uncover the user's initiative.
CHALLENGE: Exploring and designing the form of each module and the combination of modules was the most challenging, as it determines the final user experience, and we chose to transform the "building blocks" process into a process of disassembling and combining music. This allowed the entire user experience of the product to be both familiar and fun.
