| DESIGN NAME: The Possibilities of Interior Design PRIMARY FUNCTION: Museum Materials INSPIRATION: Decorating a home is a happy but complicated thing. Love but not confident in your interior design? Design should not be out of reach; everyone can do their home design. Dear Home Museum is a virtual exhibition for all interior design lovers to learn and exhibit their original design ideas and works. The museum has a unique, fun design learning program that allows people to experience the fun of design in a game. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Dear Home Museum is a constantly updated interior design virtual exhibition. The goal is to increase people's interest and ability in interior design to make everyone's home unique and beautiful. Dear Home Museum brings endless Interior design inspirations and ideas; The museum has a unique, fun design learning program that allows people to experience the fun of design in a game. Participants can exhibit their original interior design works and the stories in different display forms. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Dear Home Museum is a virtual exhibition for all interior design lovers to display their original design ideas or works. Design is not out of reach, everyone can do their own home design. The museum is an educational platform to show new design inspirations and to express people's love for home. participants can get the design inspiration, elevate design passion and skills, and build personal design style there. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Adobe photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Cinema4D, Keyshot SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Event poster: 13":19" Event ticket: 1.98":5.65" TAGS: Interior design, Space design, Design inspiration, Design Exhibition RESEARCH ABSTRACT: People love their homes and have an interest in making their homes distinctive and beautiful. Browsing home websites doesn't really improve our design skills. Based on my research, I summarized three problems. People always feel frustrated with decorating their home, people have a high expectation of interior design learning, and Also, they are looking for fun and new experience. I found the opportunity to create an educational platform for home lovers to learn, design, and share. CHALLENGE: How to communicate design knowledge in the most effective and understandable form was the biggest challenge in this project. Interior design beginners need a more interesting and efficient way to learn and try their first design. So, I designed a game-like program in this museum. After gaining knowledge of interior design, the users could start trying their first design. There are over 20 interior design styles for reference. The users could choose their preference while browsing the best works of each style. They can acquire the specific contents of design styles, representative artists, and works in this process. The users only need to follow the instructions and select each factor, and then the tailored design solutions will be created.
