| DESIGN NAME: Dalian Xinghai Island PRIMARY FUNCTION: Model Flat INSPIRATION: Outdoors are the same color of the sea and sky with sunrise and sunset, which produces different landscape changes. Inspired by the ocean, the interior design forms a harmonious and unified composition relationship through symmetrical furnishing elements. It perfectly interprets the humanistic style of this seaside city, and at the same time, it echoes the natural landscape outside the window, pointing to the imagination of the future. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Located in Dalian, China, the 215-square-meter space is a large flat with four bedrooms, a living room, and a dining room. It is close to Xinghai Square, the largest city square in Asia, with excellent sea views. Themed with a dialogue with the sea, the project creates a cozy, relaxed and comfortable living experience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the design, the designer insists on finding the most suitable materials for each space environment, considering functions, aesthetics and budget, and other dimensions, pursuing the ultimate design effect and living experience. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: From the hallway to the living room, the overall color adopts the blue representing the sea as the main tone, reflecting the high-level, calm, and restrained sense of luxury. The furniture is made of high-grade wood such as ebony and shadow wood, partially with marble, high-gloss metal, and high-grade leather as the space embellishment. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: In the decorative objects such as carpets, decorative mirrors, and hanging paintings, the smooth geometric lines of the ocean are mainly used to highlight the design theme and enhance the sense of decoration. When sunlight enters the room with the sea breeze, the beauty of light and shadow begins to appear, starting a dialogue between space and natural ecology. TAGS: interior design, showroom, sample room, residence, modern RESEARCH ABSTRACT: A good home is a true reflection of life and can give people warm comfort. The minimalist design conveys the richness of lifestyle. For example, the master bedroom uses simple ripple lines and blue color to set the elegant, luxurious, contemporary, and neat space character, echoing the outdoor natural landscape. CHALLENGE: The two guest bedrooms are simple white and beige. The material of cotton, linen and leather are soft and elegant, highlighting the pure and tranquil atmosphere of the space, echoing the undulating waves in the details, and stirring up the vitality of the space. While reducing complexity in the home, it still retains privacy and security, achieving a flexible balance between openness and privacy. NAME: Tina Wong PROFILE: Graduated from Shanghai East China Normal University, Tina Wang has been involved in the interior design industry for 17 years.
